Cape May Fire Department

Museum

The Cape May Fire Department Museum was built in 1984 as an example of a typical firehouse from the victorian time period.  The fire engine inside is a restored 1928 American Lafrance engine.  Inside the museum are many vintage firefighting tools and photos of past fires and personnel.

The Gamewell Diaphone, that is atop the old Franklin St. School is still in use today. The Diaphone has been in use by the CMFD since the 1920's. Video starts automatically double click video to re-start and stop.
